From this to that!

All in a day's work.

I thought this was a little scary. You can hardly see it in the picture, but the dirt is dug out under the corner of the house. I don't let the kids play in that corner inside!
And, I tiptoe across the porch here!

I've been given permission...

...to nag!!

A little phone call here and a little phone call there gets results. So, my husband has officially given me permission to ask questions and make phone calls and sort of be a pest. Along with the permission came one little stipulation...my nagging could only be directed at contractors. I've learned that a contractor's favorite words are "next week" and "tomorrow". One long overdue phone call cleared up miscommunication and two days later this is what shows up in my yard - only one tomorrow late. The next tomorrow is supposed to result in a foundation hole. And next week is supposed to bring foundation walls. Until then...

(I still say, "Hooray for contractors!" I like seeing work being done 8+ hours a day so I try to be nice and limit my nagging somewhat!)

When a house isn't baby proof anymore...

...we do what we can to keep the baby safe,

and we're happy to make a few sacrifices at the breakfast table!

This is still the favorite toy!

Thanks for visiting again, Eli.

WooHoo! A post on time

I'm actually going to post my menu on Saturday, like I said I would!

Subway

Baked potates with all the trimmings

Salmon burgers, yogurt fruit salad

Oriental chicken salad wraps

Hamburgers with fried potato rings (This was my big surprise!! I used leftover baked potatoes, cut them in 1/2 inch rounds, lightly fried them, put a pat of butter and salt and pepper on the top...way yummy!)

BBQ rib sandwiches, chips, fruit

Pancakes, eggs

A picture for fun ;0)

The little sister isn't so little anymore

I thought I had already posted this silly picture of Kaylee, but I'm pretty sure I didn't add the "original" picture of when this shirt actually fit her. This was "pajamas" that she came up with one night. The shirt says "I'm the little sister".

The is the original version of the outfit! Over 4 years ago and only 7 lbs 7 oz.

Big Brother and Big Sister are so cute! The shirts were a gift from grandma S.

Pretty quiet around here!

There's just no news to report. I've posted all the pictures I took in September. I'm stalling on posting my menu for last week because it wasn't very exciting. Nothing has been done with the backyard...still looks like a bomb hit...but hopefully next week there will be changes in that department. The addition is SUPPOSED to get started this month. Kaylee is saying and doing some very funny things, but she won't let me take a picture or record her. (And my memory fails me everytime I want to repeat what she has said.) I did come up with a good idea (probably has been done before) for leftover baked potatoes last night, but you'll have to anxiously wait for the menu next week to find out!

Last week's menu:
Orange chicken, rice, gyozas

Chicken fajitas

Swedish pancakes, egg scramble, banana muffins

Chicken nuggets, taquitos, salad, fruit

Last week was a LONG time ago. I'm sure we ate more than 4 times, but that is what I can remember.
