Birthday Party

Tessa had a "Day at the Spa" birthday party. (It wasn't a real highclass spa with very many services, but it was fun!) The girls made lip balm and they each got a foot bath/massage. Carolyn and Lois helped celebrate as it was Carolyn's birthday the day before. A very brave Carolyn even helped with the foot massages!! I thought this first picture was cute. She's anxiously waiting for her guests.

More toddler talk...

Kaylee was talking on her play phone to Deanna (our cousin who recently had a baby). She gets off the phone and tells me, "Deanna will come over lada (later) because her wada (water) broke and she's going to the store to get a new one." Later in the day she was telling Randy and elaborated on the story with, "She'll leave her wada outside when she comes so it won't spill inside. Shane will help her fix it because it was a BIG wada."
I think Kaylee needs some 3 year old friends. She's been hanging out with mothers far too long. Recommendations for a good preschool, anyone?!

Our baby girl turned 10 years old!

Like Renea posted, I can remember almost every detail of our childrens' births. Incredibly fascinating days that seem like yesterday. Here's our little 19 1/2" 7lbs 15oz black haired baby girl!

From the lips of toddlers

On Friday we took a day trip down to Great G'ma Anderson's in Hoquiam. During the course of conversation, GGmaA tells us about the impressive Burger King they have in Aberdeen. The name Burger King was mentioned several times and some little ears picked up on that. Today after g. mtg. I made the comment we should go out to eat somewhere. Tessa and Trevon put in their requests and then Kaylee says, "Let's go to King Boogoos".

The Bedroom Renovations - Befores and Afters

The girls' room. How do you get away from pink and purple in a room shared by two girly girls? You don't! The walls were pink, we repainted them...purple! It is less intense and more grown up, however. Tessa went from a lumpy, 30+ year old bed (I didn't know beds weren't supposed to last that long!)

Kaylee went from a small, low, just-her-size bed to a very tall, very big bed. She thinks that makes her big enough to do anything now!
(No, folks, there was no trick photography used to make it look like there is no floor space left in the bedroom. All photos are actual size! The beds made a very small room very small, BUT the beds pushed together make a very fine, king size bed. Please, come for an overnight visit!)

Trevon's room - theme of red and blue nautical to green and blue nothing.

The too-many-toys and not-enough-shelves corner...

New (old) toy cupboard and his favorite...a rocking chair!
The always-a-mess desk...
To the drawers-closed-for-the-sake-of-a-picture-only dresser that has already started collecting treasures!
